It is a pure lambswool from a family-owned fiber mill in Scotland. The wool is rustic and soft at the same time, in different shades, the thread is thin and sturdy, the wool is fully scoured, the bands are handwritten by Caroline. A beautiful quality, presented in a way that feels like home.

What is lambswool ? It is the first shearing of a sheep, considered high-grade of wool.

The little story: When starting to think about a woolen company, Astrid was in search of the yarn she wanted to knit her designs with and offer in the shop. She was looking for something rustic, that reminds her trip to Norway in 1995, discovering the pure wool from their Norwegian sheep, as well as her Scandinavian roots, a yarn that would make a sturdy sweater, to be worn through the years. And that rustic yarn would have to be blended with a soft feeling, that felt good knitting with, and of course, that felt good wearing.

We hope you will likei t as much as we do. A new adventure begins !

Biches & Bûches

Astrid and Caroline have been working on Biches & Bûches since the Summer 2015. We created our brand with an idea of consciousness, thoughtfulness, love and cosiness. Thinking about the joy one feels while knitting for oneself, and the pleasure of wearing that piece with happiness and pride, or the thoughtfulness of preparing a present for a loved one, putting so much love into it, stitch after stitch.

The feeling behind the Biches & Bûches designs is a mixing of all the Scandinavian adventures, roots and memories Astrid is walking around with, and the soft French landscapes she has under her window while designing. The designs are minimalistic, for an everyday use by girls and women, as we love a comfy, simple and elegant style. She often tells me how much she loves playing with colors.

We love our yarn. The Biches & Bûches is a pure lambswool from Scotland, from a family-owned fiber mill. It
